Intercare and Destination Health’s Mission to Abu Dhabi and Dubai mentioned on Italian Leading Business Newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore

Thanks to Destination Health, a consistent cluster of the best Italian healthcare providers will take part in a mission to Abu Dhabi and Dubai to promote and officially position Italy as a Medical Tourism destination.

Gulf Coast Countries spend 20 million dollars to grant their citizens the best medical treatments abroad and some of the most important Italian healthcare providers are ready to introduce their excellences to these countries and their government representatives.

“Italy is not yet known and considered abroad for its medical excellence. This is why creating a distinctive image of our country is the first thing to do in an internationalization strategy” says Alessandro Santambrogio, partner and marketing director of Intercare and Destination Health.

The mission will be divided in two parts. In the first part, Italian Hospital will take part in ITW – International Travel Week World Medical Tourism Summit on 25 – 26 Novembre 2017. Then they will have the chance to meet Ministries of Health in Abu Dhabi and Dubai to start procedures towards Memorandum of Understanding.

San Donato Group, IEO, Mondino Foundation, INI Group and Cidimu are among the first providers to join this important mission.

“We are the leading Italian group for the internationalization of healthcare providers”, says Valeria Albertin, partner and sales director. “Thanks to the experience of Intercare and Destination Health we are now starting to introduce Italian excellences to international governments, ministries and other key stakeholders such as insurance companies”

“We believe that Made in Italy must include also healthcare among the values that make Italy popular and highly appreciated in the world”, says Maurizio Cavezzali, partner and president of Intercare and Destination Health. “This is a long-term goal and this mission represents the first step in a three-year development plan dedicated to the Gulf area. But we are also working on different development strategies that will involve other key markets for Italy, such as Russia and the Csi, the Balkans and North Africa, focusing mainly on establishing strong relationships with local governments”.
